Trucker Sees Bigfoot: Part Two
In Part Two of Brian’s conversation with Matt from Texas, the story moves from the highway encounter that changed his life to what happened when he began actively searching for answers.
Matt takes us onto a secluded 500-acre property along a Central Texas river, where he says the activity has continued throughout 2026. He has documented unusual tracks, broken limbs, possible tree structures, repeated wood knocks, and strange vocalizations—and some of his most compelling experiences have happened when he tried interacting with whatever may be out there.
On September 6, Matt heard a tree snap near the same area where he had encountered a powerful, unexplained odor months earlier. He moved toward the location while filming and says he was met with several seconds of an unmistakable growl, followed by roughly fifteen seconds of heavy breathing. He also describes experiments involving alleged Bigfoot recordings, including an “angry Bigfoot” vocalization and a strange humming sound.
Playing them into the woods appeared to trigger responses ranging from wood knocks to what Matt believed were heavy, bipedal footsteps moving nearby. Those experiences have also made him question whether attempting to provoke a reaction could damage the trust he believes he has slowly developed with the creatures on the property. Matt discusses tracks of noticeably different sizes that have led him to suspect there may be an adult female and a younger individual using the area.
He also recounts a May 17 sighting of a light reddish or copper-colored figure and a remarkable series of tree knocks recorded during the same outing.Then there is the evidence he discovered on his truck.On April 19, Matt found what appeared to be a large handprint on the vehicle. He carefully lifted the print with tape and later had it photographed and examined with assistance from local law enforcement.
He is now working with Doug Hajicek to explore whether material from the print could potentially be tested for DNA or skin oils.
From unexplained tracks and vocal responses to a fleeting sighting and a physical print that may still hold answers, Part Two follows Matt deeper into a mystery that began with one unforgettable Bigfoot encounter on a Texas highway—and has only become stranger since.
