Fred from the SubArctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTube channel is back, and this time he's sharing a terrifying encounter that turned a peaceful anniversary getaway deep in the Alaskan wilderness into a fight to get out before something went terribly wrong. Benjamin and Sheila had been looking forward to a quiet weekend together at a remote cabin along the Deshka and Little Susitna River system in Alaska. The cabin belonged to friends, and with no roads leading in, the couple would have to make the trip by boat.
After getting a rundown of the river channels, the cabin's equipment, and the basics of staying safe in the wilderness, they headed out with supplies, a .45 pistol, and a 12-gauge shotgun for protection. What started as a relaxing escape quickly took a disturbing turn.As a late-fall storm rolled in, both Benjamin and Sheila began experiencing the unsettling feeling that something was watching them from the surrounding woods. Then a massive cottonwood tree came crashing down nearby. When they stepped outside to investigate, they spotted something neither could explain.
Deep in the darkness stood a tall, shadowy figure with eyes that appeared to change color, shifting from white to green and finally to red. They retreated inside, but whatever was outside didn't seem interested in leaving. Throughout the night, mysterious banging sounds moved around the cabin. Their satellite phone wasn't charging properly, the weather was getting worse, and the couple found themselves isolated in the Alaskan wilderness with no idea what might be lurking just beyond the walls. At first light, Benjamin spotted an enormous dark figure standing near the treeline.
That was enough. The couple grabbed their belongings and made a desperate run for their boat. But as they scrambled to escape, Sheila caught sight of something even more frightening: the figure moving silently through thick brush, keeping pace with their departure. They eventually made it safely downstream, but the story didn't end there. When they told the cabin's owners what had happened, they learned that Benjamin and Sheila weren't the first people to experience something strange on that remote stretch of river.
Join us for another chilling firsthand account from the remote wilderness of Alaska as Fred shares a story of strange eyes in the darkness, unexplained activity around an isolated cabin, and a mysterious creature that may have wanted two visitors to know they weren't welcome.
Sometimes the most frightening thing about being alone in the wilderness is realizing you might not be alone at all.
